MARCEL MUAMBA
Director of IT
Mr. Marcel Muamba is a seasoned expert in the fields of complex project management and IT operations, with more than 25 years of experience in information technology and telecommunications, FinTech, and digital transformation. He has worked for renowned companies including IBM, Airtel RDC and Orange RDC.
During his professional career, Mr. Muamba has gained extensive experience in Service Delivery, Project Management, Operational Efficiency and Cybersecurity, Organization Modeling, covering assignments in various countries across Africa, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Gabon and Kenya.
Mr. Mwamba has expertise in cloud computing, data science, mobile applications and cognitive technologies, as well as in business process analysis and optimization. He also has solid experience in information systems security, billing systems, customer relationship management (CRM), customer lifecycle management, campaign/offer management, prepaid card management, KYC customer identification processes, loyalty management, and fraud and service provision management.
Among his professional experiences, Mr. Mwamba worked at IBM as Project Director, where he oversaw the management of servers and operating systems in 15 countries across Africa on behalf of Airtel. He also led the delivery team for Huawei Senegal and Orange Côte d'Ivoire, where he helped manage over 2 people on information and communication systems projects. At Orange RDC, as IT Director, he led the strategic orientations for information systems in collaboration with the sales teams.
Mr. Muamba holds a degree in Mathematics, Information Systems and Telecommunications. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Leadership & Sustainability from the University of Cumbria in the UK, in partnership with the Robert Kennedy College in Switzerland with a concentration in Strategy and Competition.
