BOTEKA

Established in the 1910s,
Boteka is PHC's oldest plantation.

Comprising two estates―Bofalamboka and Boteka―Boteka is also the smallest plantation
of PHC, with approximately 6000 hectares, of which approximately 4.000 hectares are exploited. The Boteka site is located in the province of Equateur, approximately 120km from the city of Mbandaka.

THE BOTEKA MILL

Rehabilitated in 2011, the Boteka mill is the oldest of PHC's palm oil mills. It is also PHC's smallest mill, with a production capacity of 15 tons per hour. Like PHC's other mills, the Boteka mill is powered by a steam turbine and a biomass boiler that reuses waste from the plant―a demonstration of the power of green energy.
