ALPHONSE NGONGI

Director of Human Resources

Mr. Alphonse Ngongi Mvuangu is an expert in human resources who has extensive experience in his field. He has held various positions in the human resources departments of renowned companies in the Democratic Republic of Congo, such as Airtel Congo RDC and Orange RDC.

Mr. Ngongi started his HR career in 2007 as an HR Assistant at Celtel Congo, where he was responsible for consolidating all weekly and monthly HR reports from HR Assistants and HR Officers in the region. Following the acquisition of Celtel by Zain, he successively held the positions of HR Representative/Compensation, HR Generalist, HR Operations & Analytics Analyst, and Rewards & Performance Management Manager. 

Starting in 2012, following the change in the company's shareholding, Mr. Ngongi held several positions including Decision Support & Cost Management Manager, Salary & HRMIS Specialist, and Human Resources Business Partner for Grand Kasaï. In April 2015, he was appointed Governance & Audit Manager for this same company. 

In September 2015, Mr. Ngongi was recruited by Millicom Group for Tigo RDC as Compensation & Benefits Manager until October 2016 when Tigo RDC merged with Orange RDC. Following the restructuring that resulted from this merger, the new General Management decided to appoint Mr. Ngongi to the head of the Remuneration & Rewards Department based on his skills. 

Before joining PHC, he held the position of HR Business Partner at Airtel Congo RDC SA, covering 9 provinces in the north and south of the country, including Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, Haut-lomami, Lomami, Kasaï-central, Kasaï-Oriental, Kasai, North and South Ubangi.

Mr. Ngongi holds a degree in business administration (finance, banking and insurance) from the Protestant University in Congo (UPC).
