Social Clauses Evaluation in Lokutu: A Step Forward Towards Sustainable and Inclusive Development

On Friday, August 29, 2025, a meeting to evaluate the implementation of the 2025 social clauses was held at the Lokutu site (Tshopo Province). The event brought together several key figures, including Jean-Bedel Bansobola, representative of the Governor of Tshopo Province, and Professor Mpoko Bokanga, Executive Director of the PHC Foundation.

During the meeting, Alain Bamonyangela, ESG Manager of the Lokutu site, presented a report highlighting the achievements made under the social commitments. Among them was the launch of the construction of two docking quays on the Congo River, an initiative warmly welcomed by local communities, as it represents a tangible lever to stimulate local development and improve the living conditions of riverside populations.

In his remarks, Jean-Bedel Bansobola commended PHC for the progress achieved and encouraged all stakeholders to maintain this collaborative momentum, which is essential for building fair and inclusive development in Lokutu.
