PHC contributes to the dream of young Congolese footballers with a sports equipment donation

Young people from Yalifombo, located in the Yanongo group in Lokutu, can now live their passion for football thanks to the sports equipment distributed by PHC.

Overflowing with passion for the sport, the young people of Yalifombo had all the talent to foster the growth of football in their community. However, they lacked equipment such as balls and uniforms, as well as infrastructure such as a pitch to allow them to play the game in better conditions. Their dream came true when, in response to their request, PHC agreed to supply them with a first batch of sports equipment on June 22, 24. This batch included jerseys, balls and reels of nylon to make football nets. PHC supplied a second batch of equipment to the young team on September 22 consisting of XNUMX pairs of football boots.

In total, PHC provided the youth of Yalifombo with 24 uniforms, 24 football boots and two football nets. In addition to these donations, the company financed the construction of a football field to support the young players in fully living their passion for the sport.

“We are satisfied with the support provided by PHC to enable the young people of Yalifombo to realize their dream. We are confident that the donation will bring out football stars in our village,” said Martin, captain of the Yalifombo football team.

“The sports equipment provided by PHC to the young people of the village is an important contribution to their development. We can only be grateful, thank you to PHC for this initiative,” said Mr. Mondele, coach of the Yalifombo football team.

The distribution of sports equipment to the youth of Yalifombo is part of PHC's vision to improve the living conditions surrounding its sites. One of the main implementation pillars of this vision is investment in human capital through the construction of schools. In fact, PHC financed the construction of a primary school in Yalifombo which was completed in November 2021, thus providing better learning conditions for the more than 206 children who study there. In addition to the school, this latest donation from PHC will allow young people living in Yalifombo to enjoy a good environment not only for learning but for playing and relaxing as well, both of which are key to healthy and harmonious development.
